ANSWER: "The Great One"

3. Name the Pennsylvania fort, now a national battlefield, at which an officer in the Virginia Militia was defeated in the opening battle of the French and Indian War, July 3, 1754. For Bonus points name the officer.

ANSWER: Fort Necessity; Lt. Col. George Washington

4. What national park in Alaska contains 16 great tidewater glaciers that actively "calve" icebergs?

ANSWER: Glacier Bay National Park.

5. The Guadalupe Mountains stand like an island in the desert, silent sentinels watching over the most extensive fossil reef complex known to man. Guadalupe Mountains National Park is in what state?

ANSWER: Texas. The mountains extend into New Mexico; the park does not.
