WOODMAN CENTER FOR CAMPING AND EDUCATION
DESCRIPTION:  532.5 acres located on CTH - I in the northeast corner (section 6) of Willow Twn., Richland County, Wisconsin. Near the village of Rockbridge between Cazenovia and Richland Center. 
OWNERSHIP:  Fully owned, without restrictions in the deed, by the Four Lakes Council, BSA. 
FEATURES:  The core of the Woodman Center is situated in a valley, with wooded hills and high bluffs, rolling pasture land and a 4 acre man-made lake located in the center of the main valley. Buildings include: 
  • 8 room farmhouse with great room 
  • 12' x 40' - 3 bedroom, 2 bath mobile home 
  • 2 car garage 
  • 35' x 100' two story barn 
  • corn crib 
  • small shed 
  • milkhouse 
  • 3 one-room schoolhouses located on the south side of the man-made lake 
  • 1 car garage in the vicinity of the schoolhouses 
  • 2 wells - one located at the front of the property near the farmhouse, 
  • the other located near the single car garage near the man-made lake. 
PROGRAM USE:  Currently the Woodman Center is used by Scout units for overnight camping. The Center is also been used for youth and adult weekend training programs and for Cub Scout Day camping and Cub and Family overnight camping programs. 
PLANS:  At present, plans for the Woodman Center include the creation of the Susan Woodman Meinhardt Training Center. The council will utilize the three school houses and garage for the core of the training facility. 

Near-term development plans include the construction of a co-ed sanitary facility and a picnic/program shelter. The schoolhouses will be winterized and heating plants installed making them available for overnight sleeping in cold weather. The schoolhouses will be used as classrooms for training sessions and as sleeping quarters for units camping in inclement or winter weather. 

Long-term development plans include troop and patrol campsite construction, wilderness and backpacking campsites, sanitary units, athletic and program areas and program shelters.
