Shadow came as a foster a few days before Halloween in 2001. She needed to be rehomed because her owner was diagnosed with an agressive form of cancer, and the family home was being sold. At close to 11 years, she is an old girl who isn't highly adoptable...so I decided to adopt her!

Shadow was a bit thin and had tapeworms when she arrived. She also had a few lumps that had her vet a little concerned. Well, after a couple of trips to the animal hospital (and a few $$$), she is worm-free and her lumps are benign! Her first two months have also allowed her to gain a little weight.

She settled in nicely. Unfortunately, and unexpectedly, she passed away on the afternoon of February 24, 2002. She was fine in the morning, but she didn't eat her breakfast and seemed disoriented in the late am. She went outside and died an hour later.
