Leavenworth. Rock described here is within a 10 mi radius of town. Superb climbing for the boulderer, cragger, or multipitch master.

Notes:

Central Washington's mainstay for hard core rock climbers. CG at Icicle Canyon. Heavily used area by climbers. Leavenworth is noted for its Bavarian atmosphere - good pie at Der Pizza. Spring-ticks, summer-rattlers; fall-hunters!!! Backcountry climbs like Prusik Peak under permit entry system - check with USFS.
