Directions:

Olympic Peninsula. NW Washington. Approach via the Dungeness River Rd by heading S from Sequim on Hwy 101 for a few mi. Then turn S onto FS rd 2909 to Dungeness River Rd (usually not free of snow til May-June) to trailhead for The Needles. Hike ~7 mi up Royal Creek.

The highest collective group of summits in the Olympics and focal point of alpine activity. Routes of varying length. Also known as the Royal Basin Area.
