Wind Walker

Walking in mist by moonlight
I see visions of her.
Silver light flows from her hair,
Golden thoughts race through my mind.

She beckons me with silence,
But it roars through my soul.
She speaks to me in thoughts,
That are implanted forever in me.

"You are my soul, my heart, my being.
We have not met in this life,
But I wait, lonely, but unafraid.
For we are meant to be as one."

Thoughts stream though my head,
Who is this love - Where is this soul?
Wondering, as I gaze through the mist,
When shall we be together ?

As I walk towards her, the moon is shrouded by clouds.
And the shadows fade, and in darkness am I.
The vision has faded with the moonlight
And I am alone.

As the wind blows the clouds,
The moon reappears, and with the light,
I find the vision has changed.
The love I saw no longer is there.

In her place is a weeping willow.
Branches flowing in the breeze.
Leaves from limbs hanging down like falling tears.
The sound of sighing comes to my ears.

I walk towards her in moonlight
My arms outstreched, reaching..
For the Love that shall be
Always Unfounded.
