PEZIBAERS INTEREST IN THE GOOD THINGS OF LIFE
ES GEHT NIX ÜBER DIE G´MIATLICHKEIT!!
Sorry, it is impossible to translate this!!
Please find in the following all the good things of life that pezibaeris interested in!
This does not only include hobbies but also other things on the enjoyable side of life!
TRAVEL
Since his teenage days, pezibaer has loved to travel. He is just a bit worried about
the fact that in most cases, you either have enough time to explore a county, but just
experience it from the point of view of a tourist. Or you go to a country for business: you have
tha chance to experience things from the point of view of a native person with the help of your
business partner. But in such cases, time is mostly the problem. So what I try to do is
visit the places I like best both as a tourist and as a business traveller. This was not possible
in all cases, but at least in some! And those were the most enjoyable ones. Before I forget it, my three
favourite countries are America (the US), China and Italy! For quite a long time, my goal was
to visit all five continents, and I was able to achieve that with the age of 26! I just did not have
very much time for sightseeing in Australia - good guess, I was there for business!
If you want to see roughly all places I have visited to date, find a JPEG picture here!
WINE
At the age of about 25, pezi found his passion for wine. This was more or less Monica´s "fault".
Before that time, I drank mainly beer - no wonder, I was living in MUNICH, then!
My favourite is definately red wine. I must admit that the French still make the best red wine Bourgogne). However
Californians, Australians and Southamericans make also excellent wine!! And especially when comparing
prices, I rather drink wine of the three latter countries - the French are simply overdoing it!
Austria, my homecountry alos has great wines. It is just not that well known, but especially
white wines are among the best in the world - the Wachau, a gorgeous landscape not too far from Vienna
is home to internationally honoured white wines - Grüner Veltliner (steinfeder) is just one example for it.
I would have included some links here, but I believe it is rather frustrating just to see wine on the net
and not have a chance to drink!
Just a brief remark: should you not be a real wine lover - the next time you have a glass of delicious wine
just follow this guidelines and I am almost sure it will be more enjoyable!
- hold your glass against the light and try to see the colour of the wine.
- try to think of the region that the wine comes from, how the landscape looks, how the wine was made.
- put your nose close to the glass and get yourself a "nose full" of the buquet of the wine. Some wines smell so good, you wouldn´t believe it!
- when drinking the first bit of wine, breathe in through the nose while drinking - this gives you once more the smell of the wine and will intensify the taste.
- do not swallow immediately, but rather keep the wine in your mouth, try to cover every region of your tounge to make sure you taste all aspects of the wine.
I am certain that this is not a big deal and can be done quite easily - try it and you will find a difference!
