Hashing Chicoppee Woods!!!!
Hey, this week I hooked up with one of the local moutain bike groups. It was hot and the air was humid but the trails were GREAT!! I arrived at the starting location a little late and everyone was already gone, but that didn't stop me. The trails were marked earlier by the guys who put on the ride with flour, so they were easy to follow. The going was easy until I passed a mark in the trail that said "YBF". I'll let you guess what that means, but let me tell you, it was a long ride back to the right trail..:-) Any way, here's some of the sights.....
The trail passed right by this lake (or river??). I wished that I had brought my fishing pole..
This shot was taken looking down on Hwy 985. It's funny to think that probably nobody down there knows I'm here....
After the ride everyone gathered around to have some refreshments. It was a time for welcoming first timers and sharing the days ride.
I really enjoyed the ride with these guys and gals. It's not very often you get to share
something you enjoy with people who enjoy it as much as you do. If this sounds like something
you'd like to do, check out their web page. They're called
Wheelhoppers Hash House Harriers. There, you can find out about upcoming rides and read
about the ones you've missed. Hope you enjoyed it for this week. Till next time, go outside,
it's a great place to be....
