A SAMPLE OF MY SAILING LOG
Here you can see a page of my sailing log,a very important for me book, where every detail for every trip I've done is noted.Take a look at the columns descriptions to see how many items I note even for a 10 minutes short sailing leg! From here I get statistical results for every month and year, not only for total miles covered but even for seas temperature, for waves height, and many many other parameters. The last one(right-most column)is SIDI which stays for "Sea Isolation Distance Indicator",a number derived after very complicated calculations, metering the trend of the distance to the closest shore in 360° for every point of the Mediteranean sea.The smallest the number, the more distant and open the sea.A number of zero would be in a planet entirely composed by an endless ocean without any 'terra ferma' on it.
