Please Help Staten Island Save The Camp Pouch Totem Poles
The totem poles that have graced the entrance to Camp Pouch are in grave
danger. If something cannot be done about them, they will need to be
destroyed. These wonderful works of native american craftsmanship have a
long and full history, and it would be a sin if the Scouting community of
Staten Island stood by and watched this happen. As a result, we have
initiated a campaign to have these icons restored. This is no mean feat,
and will require a large sum of money. To this end, the Staten Island Council
has started a fund to pay for the much needed restorative work. To find out
more about this fund or contribute to the fund, please contact Marty Poller
at (718) 273-9520. Thank you for your support.
