Where are the patches?

The patches have arrived. They will be given out at the February 23rd. meeting in Caguas to all participants who are up to date in their fees.
What should I take?

How many people will attend?
It is estimated that over 30,000 Scouts and 6,000 Leaders will be present throughout the National Jamboree. About 70,000 people will be present for the grand opening and the closing ceremonies. There will be over 750 troops each with 36 scouts and 4 scouters thet will be serviced by over 4,000 volunteer staff members.
The Puerto Rico Council contingent will have 8 international scouts. Six will be from Australia and two will be from Algeria. They will be divided among the three contingent troops. Each troop will have four adult leaders, four junior leaders and 32 scouts distributed in 4 patrols of eight scouts each.
What is our Meeting Schedule? What is our Washington, DC schedule? What are the requirements for attending as a youth member of our contingent?
    To attend as a youth, you must:
  1. Be a registered Boy Scout who has completed the sixth grade, or be at least 12 years of age and a First Class Scout by July 1, 1997, but not have reached 18 years of age by September 1, 1997.
  2. Participate in the prejamboree training experience.
  3. Have filed a Personal Health and Medical Record, Class 3, No. NSJ-34412-97, before the prejamboree training.
  4. Have been active in a troop and/or team for at least 6 months prior to July 1, 1997.
  5. Be approved by your Scoutmaster or Varsity Scout Coach.
  6. Be approved by the local Council Jamboree Committee.
Is there a National Jamboree presence on the web?
Yes there is, however it is not officially sanctioned by the BSA.

P.R. COUNCIL JAMBOREE RESERVATION FORM

This form is only for a tentative reservation to join the Puerto Rico Contingent at the National Jamboree 1997. It will be processed by the Council Service Center but you will have to deposit all fees that may be required to the time for the reservation to become effective.

The Jamboree Fees are:
