Welcome to my hunting page. It includes some links and some photos of my 2001 and past hunting experiences. Last year I was running short of time to go hunting and this year it's money that's in short supply. Maybe one of these years I'll have both and can get in some good hunting. Anyway, I hope you enjoy them.
This is an old photo that I found recently. It had to be about 1973 and I was 9 years old. I spent the summer out at Lake Cooper in Young County Tx with my Grandparents. That's my Granddad off to the rear and left of me. He only had one leg and hobbled around on crutches but he was a lot more active than other men of his age. He'd fish, run trot lines and grow a huge garden every year by himself. The fish is a 45 pound Yellowcat that I helped pull in off of one of his trot lines.

By-the-way, I also gave up those nasty cigarettes on October 23, 1998 thanks to

And I'm still smoke free as of December 5th 2001. The only drawback is the extra weight I've put on as you can see in the following photos.
Upon winning an internet based hunting contest from
The Grimes Ranch , I scheduled my hunt for Dec. 16 1999. Birds killed included pheasant, chukar partridge, and quail.

Mr. Grimes and his hired hand doing our dirty work for us.
Mr. Grimes provided excellent service and hospitality along with the use of his well trained dogs (if we had some, we could have used our own) and some of the best bird hunting I've ever experienced. He also has deer hunting available. If you're interested, check out his website for all the details and tell him Sendero Dave sent you.
