Lands for Life

What was It?

A planning process for the natural resources of Ontario initiated by the Ontario government. See the Ontario Government Lands for Life web site for background information about this process.

Publicly-owned lands have been estimated as 45% of Ontario's land area. The forest industry, tourism industry, environmental groups and the general public have had an opportunity to express their views on how best to use these resources.

Ontario has announced Living Legacy which will expand protected areas in the province.
