Cub Pack 3206

These are the merits and activities of pack 3206 - Great Salt Lake Council.

Pack 3206, sponsored by the Rose Park 4th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is located in the Rose Park (northwest quadrant) of Salt Lake City, Utah. We have 14 boys and 6 leaders including Den Leaders, a Scout Committee Chairperson, a Religious Organization Sponsor and Cub Master.

8 year old Wolf Scouts are Brian and Jordan, led by Rob and Mary Ann.

9 year old Bear Scouts are Devin, Kevin, Nathan, Timothy, and Austin, led by Chris.

10 year old Webelos are Kyle, Ben, Tyler, Ammon, Daniel, Brian, Alex and Greg, led by Jim.

Pack 3206 has been studying the theme of computers during the month of April and will celebrate their knowledge at the annual Scout-O-Rama on May 3, 1997. The boys helped design the booth display and will participate throughout the day with computer games and activities.

During the month of May, our pack will work on the theme of Cub Scout Bird Watchers with a pack meeting and outing to the local aviary. Boys and leaders will also enjoy a bird show to test their knowledge.

Each month our boys have the opportunity to study selected themes and work toward their rank advancements and achievements.  Boys and leaders routinely travel to areas in the SLC vicinity to take part in classes and workshops where they work on patches and individual goals.

During monthly pack meetings, each boy completes a self inspection and is rewarded for each peice of official cub scout uniform he is wearing.  Boys, leaders and parents feel pride and respect for their uniforms.  Boys and their parents are honored for the work on advancements and achievements as we enjoy a couple hours of Cub Scout fun and learning.

Rather than hold one large fund raiser, boys and leaders collect aluminum and recycle it throughout the year. Cub Scouts who take part are able to pay for their camp registration and specific activities with the proceeds.  The boys are protecting the environment while learning how to earn and budget money.  It is an on-going, learning activity.
