THE TOWER
The tower is a 40’ rappelling and climbing training structure. For the purpose of training and teaching different forms and styles of rappelling and rock
climbing. Backed by Mike Lampe and Scout Master Phil Klein, the tower started to take form on paper. The first meeting of the tower committee was held on July 14, 1997. During this meeting the committee came to the conclusion that the tower was a very expensive project and needed additional funding from outside sources. Assistant Scout master Joe Cazares arranged for the donation of multiple telephone pole to be delivered to the troops meeting hall on the weekend of July 26. Dreams were becoming reality. Today the site has been chosen and the troop is anxiously awaiting answers from several groups who have been contacted to make material and financial donations. Once donations have been made the
construction will begin and construction will begin on this dream that started such a short time ago. Not even built, the tower has earned a reputation for safety and is envied by
troops throughout the Inland Empire. To find out more about the tower or opportunities to use it
