Competition

The following are the 1998 W4B Conclave recreation competitions: newsletter, tug-of-war, volleyball, swimming, Brotherhood run, and soccer.

Newsletter
The last four newsletters will be judged. Copies must be turned into the Conclave office during the Section meeting on Friday night. Newsletters will be judged on: content, appearance, completeness, grammar, and spelling.

Tug-of-War
A maximum of _____ pounds total per side. Only one team per lodge can enter.

Volleyball
Standard volleyball rules, six (6) players on the court at one time, alternates are welcome. The competition will be tournament-style, with the winners of the first games going on to play the for the championship, and the two other teams playing for third place.

Swimming
(If pool is available for use) A timed relay event, with 4 people on a team, and one team per lodge. Each person swims one lap, fastest time wins.

Brotherhood Run
Two events - a team race and an individual race. Both are 2.5 miles, but each member of the team runs a half-mile. There are 5 members to a team (3 youth, 2 adults), and only one team per lodge. For the individual run, there will be awards for fastest overall, and also for the fastest over 40 years old.

Soccer
There will be 6 on a team, and 1 team per lodge. A beach ball will be used. The team that scores the most goals in 15 minutes wins. In the event of a tie, the game will go into a shoot-out. The competition will be tournament-style, with the winners of the first games going on to play for the championship, and the two other teams playing for third place.

Judges


Each lodge will be required to provide judges for all events. If a lodge does not provide the required judges they will not be allowed to compete. For all events, the judges may be either youth or adult.

Swimming - 1 Judge

Soccer - 1 Judge
