To get to the Feather river at OroVille I head up along the west side of the Lake on SR89 to Truckee.  From there I go west on US 80 to SR 20.  I follow SR 20 into Marysville where I pick up SR 70.  A few miles north on 70 and I am in Oroville.  Get off at Oro Dam Road and turn left.  Go west on Oro Dam Rd for 1.5 miles to Larkin Road.  Turn south on Larkin for 5.5 miles to Vance Ave. Turn left on Vance and follow it to the end.  The pavement ends and it beomes a rather bouncy gravel road.  At the "T" turn left.  More bouncy road for about a mile.  At the end of the road is a parking area on the right and an open field for camping on the left.

About 10 miles east of Marysville you can pick up a shortcut.  Keep your eyes open for a Right turn onto Woodruff Lane.  It will take you over to Rt 70 about 10 miles north of Marysville and saves about 15 miles and you miss the traffic throiugh Marysville.
