My name is Dawn Stringer (anagram: Grand Winters). I was born in New Brunswick, NJ on August 4, 1973. I spent my formative years in Daytona Beach, FL, and attended college at the University of Dayton in Ohio. After graduation, I moved to New York, worked for Bankers Trust Company (now Deutsche Bank) and lived in the Bensonhurst area of Brooklyn. I now make my home in Kettering, Ohio, and work at Delphi Automotive, 2 miles away.
I am a vegetarian, feminist, environmentalist, and just about every other -ist that hard core right-wingers call "bleeding-heart liberals." I'm not a bleeding-heart liberal, however. I'm Dawn Stringer (anagram: Grand Winters). I vote third party as much as possible, and I encourage everyone to vote in every election. I'm quite adamant about it.
I love to read. I absorb books quicker than sponges absorb water. I'm a bit of a freak like that. I also like to write poetry, short stories, and create fantastic lies about my life to tell complete strangers. It's lots of fun, you should try it some time.
I have two kittens, Rocky and Darwin. Rocky turns 13 in January, 2000. Darwin is 4 years old. He'll be 5 in October, 2000. They are the best snugglers in the world, except Darwin sometimes annoys the heck out of me with his constant meowing.
I have no other pets. I would like to own a puppy some day. I would like to own a big puppy. Like a Great Dane. I'd name him Blue.
