It will be on August 18 and 19 below the federal dam in Troy, New
York. We usually do an overnight, weather permitting. There is room for
perhaps 15-20 anglers at the most at this location. We have other spots
if there are more people showing , but they are removed from the main
site. This is a zebra mussel , rocky area so snag leaders are the way to
go. Twenty feet of 50 to 80 pound braid has been working well. I will
make a map and directions soon. The last few fish ins have seen upwards
of 150 carp on the bank , most between 10 and 20 pounds , but I think we
had some upper twenties and a 30+. Maize and chick peas are all you need
for bait.
