The 2000 Philly Fish In was in its true form. The weather was cold and it rained
all weekend. We Fished a Marina off the Delaware River were 6 fish per person (all fish no smaller then 15lb) were common. Well not this weekend. I arrived at 5:45am to find Bob Elias and Joe Edwards fishing in MY SPOT. But my partner Flip got there 2 mins before them to save me a spot (They got there at 4:30 am). Just to let you know we had about 200 yds of bank space to fish. We had 20 Anglers slated to come. By mid week that got trimmed down to 15 by the morning of the fish in it turned out to be 12. By 7:30 Bob Elias caught 2 fish. The day was on it's way. It was slow fishing, then Phil Saunders arrived. He set up. Shortly after that Nigel arrived. We all shot the bull for a wile and Phil's line went screaming he ran down the hill to grab his rod. He played the fish then the fish got hung up on a floating dock about fifty yds out. Well Phil got down to his BVD'S and went in. He spent 20 mins in the water swimming and fighting the fish. Well he lost the fish in the end. This was the highlight of the event. Well every body can guess what happened next. Nigel got his lines in the water and he caught 6 Carp over the weekend and the rest of us got Catfish or Blanked. Buy the way only 5 anglers were left to fish Sat night into Sunday morning the rest could not take the rain. What a bunch of Sheila's
