in the mornig but warmed to 67 by the time we were finished in the afternoon.
Up The Tuckerman Ravine trail and the n Ron and I split off onto the Huntington
Ravine Trail (one of the hardest hiking trails east of the Rockies). It
was slow going up 1700 of headwall
but we made it to the top of Mt. Washington in 4 1/5 hrs. Temp at the summit was 34 degrees with a 14 degree wind chill. At 2:00pm it SNOWED!! Went back down the Tuckerman ravine trail, spilt off onto the Lion's Head and then merged back onto Tuckerman's. What a great day. |
