| Trip Report - Mano | On October 6, 2001 at 12:30pm Ed Brimberg, Mano Malayanur and Mike Gingerich hiked to the peak of Jerimoth Hill, Rhode Island. This was the first leg of a two highpoint trip to RI and MA. The real RI highpoint is on private property and is only open to the public several times a year. We happened to be there one of the weekends it was opened. The unofficial highpoint is along the highway where there is a sign. The hike consisted of walking 200 yards with a two foot elevation gain from the parking lot. The weather was nice, with the temperature in the 50's. As part of this trip we flew from BWI to Providence, RI and then drove to RI and MA highpoints. |
