A Little About Me

Well, now that I've got you here I suppose I should tell you the long boring story of my life.  Just kidding...I wouldn't subject you to that!  I'll try to keep it as short and sweet as I can. It's a challenge for me to talk about myself, a trait I find very useful online, but that really sucks in job interviews and web page writing, so bear with me!

My name is Kathleen, but those of you who've run into me online probably know me as Catriona68.  In my real life, I'm a property manager in Kelowna, BC, Canada.  Kelowna's a wonderful city that's been my home for most of the last 20 years.  Visit my hometown page to see why I like it so much here.

I was born and raised in Prince George, BC and I'm the youngest of four children. Unlike most last-born kids, I wasn't spoiled by being youngest...I prefer to think of it as my parents just agreeing with me a lot!  My brothers and sister have families of their own and I've been fortunate to remain close with all of them.  Having no children of my own, I've particularly enjoyed contributing in my own small way to the delinquency...er...I mean....upbringing of my nieces and nephews.  Collectively, we're a pretty fun lot.  I used to think we were a little weird, until I really took a look at other people's families and realised that all families are weird...and mine is just mildly amusing by comparison.  Visit my Family Vignettes to see a couple of our best stories and my Photo Album for mug shots.

These days, I spend much of my daylight leisure time out in my gardens playing in the dirt...it's raining today so the lawn that's screaming to be mowed (not my favourite garden task) is going to have to wait.  Oh...did I mention I'm the "Queen of the Procrastinators"? LOL  I also enjoy camping, swimming and generally hanging out in the great outdoors!  I used to read quite a bit, authors like Stephen King (I got through his last one "Bag of Bones" without even checking my front door once to see if it was locked), Tom Clancy (his were more fun during the cold war), Patricia Cornwell and  Faye and Jonathan Kellerman are always good for a lie down on the beach and read day.  I don't do that as much as I used to...most of my reading these days is done online, where I spend much of my time in Yahoo! playing trivia, mIRC playing a game called Chaos or chatting with friends on ICQ. I've recently switched over to a cable internet connection so with my new speed I've also become hooked on downloading mp3's at Napster
