My brother and his family were able to spend the Turn of the Millennium here in Kelowna.  

One of the best ideas was to get up really early and head for high ground on New Year's morning to watch the sun rise on the millennium together.  I understand the idea originated with Martha Stewart...of course Martha isn't Canadian....

Believe it or not, this IS the sunrise on January 1, 2000 and the background of this picture is actually a beautiful lake and mountain vista...I hope to get a summertime picture from this lookout scanned sometime soon so you can compare!
