Mirror LakeMirror Lake is located just off of Highway 150 about 23 miles up from Kamas in the Uintah Mountians just over the Bald Mountain Pass in Duchesne County. There are US Forest Service campgrounds in the area as well as Day Use picnic areas. Campgrounds are as follows: Mirror Lake, Moose Horn Lake, and Butterfly Lake, as well as a few others farther on down the road. The lake has rainbow trout, albino rainbow trout, and brooke trout in it, the albinos are stocked on a weekly basis. This is a great place for families. The lake you can raft, float , or canoe on and motors are not allowed. Drinkable water is available as well as improved areas for those with disabilities. There are pit toilets too. There is a use fee for camping but not day use. The fee for entering the highway takes care of day use fees. Fees at the entrance are if you are going to stop. $3.00 for a week of camping. $1-$2 for day use. There are trailheads at this location as well for access to lakes farther into the back country.
