Rapid City South Dakota

    Flowing through Rapid City South Dakota is a stream called Rapid Creek.  This creek is full of raibow and brown trout.  The stream is accessible along the entire area due to the city building a parkway all the way along it.  There is also a pond in the city park that has crappie, smallmouth bass, and largemouth bass in it.  I had a blast the day I went out in August of 2003.  The fish were taking dry flies off the top of the pond.  The stream and pond is walkable to many hotels in the downtown area.  There is a visitor center in the area of the pond that can give a lot of information on the fishing in the general area.  There is also a fly shop downtown about two three blocks away from the Radisson Hotel.
