Setting up a tackle box

When setting up a tackle box for your own use, you need to know exactly what to put into it.  If you are a beginner I would suggest something similar to the pictures above.  Know what kinds of fish you want to go for.  If you are just going to go after one species of fish then fill  your box accordingly.  I personally have 7 different boxes due to the multiple species that I go after as well as the different ways of fishing.  I have a warm water box for bass, bream, catfish etc... and a cold water box for trout and other fish.  I also enjoy fly fishing so I have a vest full of stuff there too.  I have a small box for trolling, and a small box full of whatever to put into a suitcase.  I have stuff for ice fishing which gets pulled out every fall.  I also have loaner stuff for when I teach Boy Scouts how to fish so that I don't lose all my expensive stuff too.  Here is the contents of a beginner box to get you started.  I use this to give to small children or those who want to start fishing.

Beginner Box:

Small one or two tray box

Stringer

snelled hooks

Bobbers

Bubbles

a spool of 8 lb test monofilament

Sinkers

Spoons and other baits you like
