Strawberry ReservoirStrawberry from Hawes Point Strawberry Reservoir is located on the south slope of the Uintah Mountains accessible off of US Highway 40. Follow I-80 east from Salt Lake to the first exit past Kimball Junction in Summit County. Head south on US 40 through Heber, follow up canyon over soldier summit. Strawberry will be on the right, you can't miss it. Strawberry is also hooked with Soldier Creek to make one large reservoir. This reservoir is full of rainbow trout and cutthroat trout as well as Kokanee Salmon. This is a great place for float tubing in the summer and ice fishing in the winter. Use woolly buggers and other flies and for bait use worms and power bait. For trolling try worms and other spoons and spinners. There is a lot of wildlife at strawberry from ground critters to large elk.
