JOINING REQUIREMENTS:

1. You must be a boy who has completed the fifth grade, or be eleven years old, but not yet eighteen years old.
   OR, you must have already been in Cub Scouts and earned the Arrow of Light Award.
   
   
2. If you are too young to join Troop 173, you may join Cub Scout Pack 173. This is for boys not old enough to become Boy Scouts, but prepares them for Boy Scouts. Just email Troop 173 and we will contact Pack 173.
   
   
3. After you pass these requirements, contact Troop 173 at gnfc173@oocities.com
   
   
4. After signing up with our troop, you must complete the following requirements (buying a scout handbook would be very helpful):

• Repeat the Pledge of Allegiance.
• Demonstrate the Scout salute, sign, and handclasp.
• Show how to tie the square knot.
• Understand and agree to live by the Scout Oath, Scout Law, Scout Motto, Scout Slogan, and the Outdoor Code.
• Participate in a Scoutmaster conference.
