ANCESTRY

Cruising is by the registered Irish Draught-Sea Crest, himself a Grade A showjumper, winning at all major shows throughout Ireland. Sea Crest's dam Sea Spray is by Jara also maternal sire of the well known Clover Hill. Cruising's dam Mullacrew was an international show jumper, winning at such shows as Lucerne, Rome and Wembley. Mullacrew's sire Nordlys was sire of many famous jumpers including Quept (German team member for many seasons) and Olympic gold medalist Ambassador (Italy). Cruising's grand dam Big Idea was a full sister to the famous Irish stallion Ideal Waters. Big Idea was by Waterserpent, sire of international show jumpers too numerous to mention, but these include such horses as The Rock - Rockette - The Quiet Man and Kilkenny. Cruising traces back to all of the best Irish show jumpers, jumped by all countries, since the 194O's.

In the last two years, Cruising has had five representatives at the Lanaken European Breeders Young Horse Championships with Cruise Line on the winning Irish Team. Choctaw, winning the last day. Rincoola Abu, third in the Five Year Old Championship. With young stock winning all over Ireland and abroad and many young stock winning in the show ring, Cruising's stock are in major demand world wide.

His young jumpers at home include two with the Irish Army Rincoola Abu and Cruise Hill. Also performing to exceptional levels are such youngsters as Choctaw, Cruise On, Cruise Star, Cruise Way and Point Blank. Cruising sired the Champion Four Year Old Performance Horse two years running at the R.D.S. in Choctaw and Scrumpy Jack.

Cruising the last two years has produced the highest priced foals at all major sales in Ireland.

His colts are sought by major studs, as his breeding and ability is accepted as exceptional world wide.

CHARACTERISTICS

An international show jumper Cruising is reputed by the Europeans to be the stallion with the best jumping technique on the world circuit today. His excellent temperament, conformation and movement make him the first choice of breeders throughout Europe, Australia, USA and the Eastern European countries.

PERFORMANCE

Cruising, in the last two years, has jumped in most major shows throughout the world. In Aachen, Germany - the worlds greatest show, Cruising has jumped a double clear two years running in the Nations Cup, winning in 1995 for Ireland. In Spruce Meadows, Canada - the worlds second greatest show, Cruising won on the first day and jumped the winning round for Ireland in the Nations Cup.

In Pavarotti's Show, Italy - Cruising won the richest Grand Prix in Europe with three clear rounds, winning by four seconds. Cruising won the Grand Prix in Wolfsburg, Germany, jumping two clear rounds to win the Nations Cup in Rotterdam He jumped through Rotterdam and Paris shows without hitting a fence, ending up 2nd in the Paris Grand Prix as well as 2nd in the Masters in Paris on his second visit there in the autumn. He also won in the Masters in Bremin and placed in Frankfurt and Geneva. Cruising finished 10th in the world and 3rd leading stallion in the world in 1996.
