Me and My Boots

Tim's walking diary
Sunset at Peveril Point, Dorset
The Oxford Engish dictionary basically defines walking as, "to move or travel on foot at ordinary pace, to cross or pass through by walking a path or other place on a route".

My definition for walking is slightly more comprehensive and is, "to move by foot at a fast pace by use of virtually impassable, muddy footpaths. Through bracken and up mountainous hills, in all kinds of dreadful weather. Packing nothing more than a few soggy sandwiches and a flask of luke warm tea to keep you going. All this in the pursuit of an ultimate and elusive goal, to find a pub that serves a really good pint of real ale and a pie like your mum used to make. Oh, also to thoroughly enjoy it and keep fit!"
