Plast Montréal is one of the many stanitsi, or branches, of Plast, the Ukrainian scouting organization.
What is Plast? The main
objectives of this organization are to serve God and country, to help others and to live by the Plast code and obey the
leaders of Plast. Plast was founded in 1911 in Ukraine, and through a several waves of immigration eventually

Plast Montréal sponsors many cultural and scouting events. During the summer months, various
camps take place at
our oselia (campground) Baturyn, located about an hour east of the city of Montréal. In the wintertime, some of our
members take part in regional winter ski camps. During the fall, winter and spring, weekly meetings are held where a
variety of issues are discussed. To enhance cultural understanding and get a greater appreciation of the world, Plast
Montréal also plans several field trips throughout the year.
Additionally, the older groups organize
their own meetings and outings throughout the year, and an Executive
Board steers the direction of activities in the Montreal branch of
Plast.

Діяльність
нашої
станиці є
широка і
різноманітна.
Підчас літа,
новацтво і
юнацтво
беруть
участь у
виховно-вишкільних
таборах
на наші
оселі Батурин
(годину на
схід від
міста
Монтреаль),
як також і в
окружних
таборах. В
зимі, члени
нашої
станиці
їдуть на
лещетарські
та зимові табори.
Підчас
шкільного
року,
відбуваються
ройові,
гурткові,
гніздові та
курінні
сходини в
станиці, де
діти мають
нагоду
багато
навчитися і
продискутувати
різні теми.
Виховники
рівнож
організують
прогульки
щоб
поглибити
культурне
знання і щоб
пізнати і
шанувати
природу.
Також
відбуваються
сходини
старших уладів
та Станичної
Старшини,
котра керую
працею
Пласту в
Монтреалі.
