Trips and Socials

The Kamloops Outdoor Club has trips all year round.
During the winter, the club has cross-country skiing trips at Mount Morrisey, Kane Valley or the Timber Lake trails.

During the warmer months, most Sundays have scheduled trips. In the spring, hikes are arranged to places like Sabiston Creek, Battle Bluff and Roper Hill. Spring also holds the annual gourmet hike, a social event focussing on exotic food.

When the hot summer arrives, members can take advantage of the several day hikes around the Kamloops area. Or if you're interested in taking a longer trip, three-day and week-long backpacking trips are arranged at several places throughout British Columbia and Alberta.

Take advantage of the last warm days in fall with more hikes around the area. The changing colours make these trips very enjoyable.

While the Kamloops Outdoor Club focuses on outings, it is also a social organization. Meeting new people with similar interests is a big part of what makes this club such a success. In addition to all the outdoor trips, slide shows are held plus an annual banquet and Christmas dinner. Being a member is about enjoying the outdoors and making new friends.
