Topo Sketches
These are scans of sketches in my climbing journal. Where they differ from the Swain Red Rocks Guide, they reflect my experience on the route. I sketched only rotes I climbed. The sketches are pretty big JPEG files. I feel the Red Rocks grades are a bit soft, I think the 5.9's may be Yosemite 5.8's, whatever, it is a cool place and the climbs are excellent. Some loose rock, you may want a hardhat.
Good luck!

EPINEPHRINE Ultra-classic, do not miss it! We went fast but it may be a cool experience to bivvy on the Black Tower...Photo of me in THE CHIMNEYS..and Jamie and Cameron on the summit. The route was recently free-soloed in 2.5 hrs by my friend Carry seen here on the extreme right!FROGLAND Good for a rest day, totally easy.
RESOLUTION ARETE Really enjoyed this desert wall climb. Took 2 days with three guys. Photo of the Mt. Wilson with the Resolution Arete marked. Photo of my hands after the climb.
THE BLACK ORPHEUS 10 pitches of fast and easy climbing. A good warmup for the larger RR climbs.
LEVITATION 29 The last 5.11 was too hard for me, I just grabbed all the slings. Jamie led this pitch. A good climb I suppose but not my game (e.g. hard stuff with lots of bolts; I like easier self-protected stuff). This climb was mainly a project for my good friend Jamie Anderson who has recently been accepted to go to the National Outdoor Leadership School in the Wind Rivers of Wyoming, this summer.
