DEDICATIONS PAGE

Welcome to a very special page. This is my "Dedications Page" for all those who have passed before us, and are keeping the fire going and the coffee on for us when we cross.

FIRST and foremost, to the men and women of the Armed Forces who have laid down their lives in Iraqi Freedom, the Gulf War, Viet Nam, Korea, WW II, and any of the other places American service men have fought and died... THANK YOU!!
Your sacrafice will not be forgotten.

This is to my dearest, and BEST friend and Pard, Charles V. Coomer.  Better known as Grizzley Chaser due to his snoring. With him in camp, there weren't any Griz's within 42 miles!!  I miss him very much.  But I know he is with Grandfather, and waiting for us when we finally do cross over. Look for the Wolf... he will guide you.

He was my Best Man when Vicki (Mouse) and I got married at the Alafia in 1998. He was always there when I needed a friend. Rest now my friend... you earned it.

I didn't know this gentleman, but others did. That's good enougn for me. If they considered him a friend, then he truly had worth... for without friends, a man is nothing. I am posting this exactly as it was sent to me. Rest well, Swede... you are missed...

Harley 'Swede' Johnson
1935 - 2004
Harley was known to most buckskinners as 'Swede'.  He was a trader on
the Central California Rdvs. circuit for over 20 years.  Swede took an
interest in, and encouraged very many newcomers to the sport.  He ran his
'business' on a shoestring budget, with very little profit.  Profit wasn't
Swede's motive; making friends, promoting the sport , keeping his friends
supplied, and making kids smile was Swede's objective.  Swede was
handicapped.  He needed crutches to walk, and kept a wheelchair handy
because he couldn't walk/stand for long.  Because of this, Swede could only
attend Rdvs. that allowed trailer camping, etc...  This was a blessing to
many of us, because those were the type of rdvs. for newcomers.  When us
newcomers showed up, Swede was there to get us started.  I know;  I met
Swede at my first rdvs. in 1982.  I was green as one could be.  I don't
think I'd be still doing this if it weren't for Swede.  He got me started,
and smiled on me as I progressed through the years - as he did with so many
others.  Bless you Swede, and save us a shady campsite for when we get
there.    Yfab, Randy 'hardtack' Bublitz
