White Rock Creek

Here are some sceens taken from the path that runs north/south along White Rock Creek. The path is much smoother than the trail around White Rock Lake. It is my favorite place to skate outdoors in Dallas.

The trail runs about 6 miles from Valley View Park (near Hillcrest Rd and 635 LBJ Frwy) south to the lake. There are many small parks, soccer fields, a tennis club, and the Royal Oaks Country Club along the way. It is possible to park your car at many of these locations and access the trail. The trail passes beneath most major roads and the footbridges (used to cross streams) are reasonably safe for skating.

Warning: There are a few low lying areas that are often covered with water or mud for several days following a heavy rain.
