Great site Stephanie! I like your art work. You are very talanted. Keep working at it. I was born in Pointe Navarre, Gaspe in 1941 and lived there for 12 years. I moved to Montreal in 1954 with my sister Dorothy, brother Owen and parents Raymond and Anita (Maloney) Adams. I am researching the ADAMS families of Fontenelle and the MALONEY fam lies of Douglastown. There is a William Maloney mentioned in the HISTORICAL FACTS section that I'd like to know more about. The oldest Maloney I know off is William. He was probably born in the 1760s. I'd like to know where!!! He married Josette Baker-Blondin in Perce on Aug. 21, 1787. They had nine children: Angelique, Cecile, James, John, Julia, Mary Jane, Michael, Phillip, nd Thomas. Thomas was born in Perce on Aug. 27, 1809. He married Mary Morris in Douglastown on July 5, 1832. They had 7 children: Angelique, Jackie, James, Julia, Michael, Phillip, and Thomas. He probably lived in Douglastown and may be the first Douglastown Maloney Michael definitely lived in Douglastown. He is my great-grandfather. He married Catherine Jane Baird of Douglastown. They had 5 children: Agnes, Alma, Herbert (my grandfather), Inez and Margaret (Sissy). I would like to hear from anyone who might have additional information on the MALONEY or ADAMS families of the Gaspe/Perce area.

This is an excellent, informative site. My mother's family, the Haydens left Barachois about 1905. I don't believe that there are any Haydens now in Gaspe. I believe that the fanmily home still stands on the main road through town. A former work colleague of mine, Harold Lemesurier, moved back there after rhis retirement. I'm researching family history and am interested in any information on Haydens, Browns, Laflammes and others.
