Our Seniors chalked up their second league victory on Sunday, with a hard fought win away to Slaughtmanus.

Played in heavy conditions, which led to many mistakes by both sides,Slaughtmanus were first to score with a point from a free. 3 minutes later, Leo madden scored our first point, also from a free. In the 6th minute, Slaughtmanus went ahead with their second point but Leo Madden had us back on level terms two minutes later after an Adrian Mc Callion shot came off the cross bar. In the 11th minute, a Garrett O'Neill pass found top of the left, Fintan O'Neill, whose fine shot rattled the Slaughtmanus net.

We were still celebrating this goal, when a high ball into our goalmouth was misjudged by our defence and the teams were all square again. Before the break, Greenlough scored 4 more points, Mark Henry(2) and Leo Madden(2).

The second was only two minutes old when Leo Madden scored his 5th point from a free. In the 9th minute Fintan O'Neill shot over a point after a quick free by Thomas Mc Cann. 6 minutes later, another quick free by Garret O'Neill put Fintan through for our 9th point.

Slaughtmanus's only score of this half came in the 26th minute when their no 8 converted a disputed penalty to leave the final score:
