Don't we look happy! Little did we know that we were heading up the wrong ridge! Here is Stacie with Pu'u Piei in the background on the left. Mountain-climber extraordinaire, Grant Tokumi tackles the very steep peak of the wrong ridge... without any assistance of cables! Grant's conquered another peak! After watching Grant climb back down, we all turned back down in search of the right ridge. Here I am near the top of Pu'u Piei. This time, I'm on the correct ridge! From here it was a lot of bushwhacking. There are also some steep sections (with cables). The view from the top, like the neighboring peaks of Pu'u Manamana and Pu'u 'Ohulehule, is not very good.
