Boy Scouts of America Troop 1

Troop 1 Special Activities and Organizations

Court of Honor: Three times each year, Troop 1 holds a Court of Honor for the presentation of Awards and Advancements that the boys have earned during the previous 4 months. The entire family is invited to a carry in dinner at the Church to honor the achievements of all of the boys. There is an opening flag ceremony and then the meal is enjoyed by all. After the meal is finished we then move on to the activities of the evening. Once the awards and advancements have been handed out, a presentation of the upcoming events and activities is given for the benefit of those parents who do not come to the weekly meetings. On given occasions we have even had special speakers to present special programs or honors to the Troop.

Order of the Arrow: Troop 1 is honored to be a part of the Order of the Arrow. This is an honorary Scout organization dedicated to preservation of Scout traditions. It provides recognition for scouts who demonstrate and prove their devotion to scouting even beyond the extra mile. More information can be found by following our links page to the Order of the Arrow home page.
