Old Business:

Al Worley said we were covered for all shifts at the Gee Creek Coffee Stop;
New Business:

At OIM Board meeting last month it was mentioned that they need to do some fund raising. Last year it cost $2,500 to pass the last bills.
There was a Motion made to donate $500, to OIM. Discussion was made and and amendment to the motion was made to drop the donation to $250 till we see how well we do with our fund raising events. amendment to motion seconded and voted on. Amendment past.
Marlene Worley mentioned that there are a lot of library books missing. She said it would be great if everyone would look around their homes and bring any library materials that they may have back at the next meeting. It would be a great way to start out the new year.

At the January Meeting we will be voting on three Board members at large. If you would like to be one give Sue Buchholz at (503) 324-0170 a call so your name can be submitted and voted on at the meeting. This is the time to get involved with your club and help promote prospecting as a RIGHT we want to keep. It is important that you would be able to attend the monthly club meetings and board meetings.

RAFFLE ITEM:


The raffle item for the January meeting will be a Coleman Powermate 2500 with a Briggs and Stratton motor. This item will be raffled until enough tickets are sold which could be for the February meeting also.

UP AND COMING EVENTS:


January 9th, 2000 at Ron and Sue Buchholz home will be the Gold mixing and rock gluing party in Banks at 1 PM with lunch being served. If you need a map, contact Ron or Sue at the next meeting or call them at (503) 324-0170.
February is the Sportsman show. Please be ready to sign up for times to man the panning booths. Dawn Fredricks will have sign-up sheets at the January meeting, so please give as much of your time as possible. Every hour that you can volunteer helps us raise money for the club. If you can not make it to the meeting, contact Dawn at (503) 774-3163 to sign-up.
Mining Millennium 2000 International Convention and Trade Exhibition is March 5-10, 2000 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, Canada. For more info look up www.miningmillennium.org on the internet.
