 The main waterfall

How to get there

From Seremban town, take the highway to Kuala Kelawang. That's the new name for Jelebu. After leaving Seremban town, some 15 kilometer later, the road begins to climb. Just drive a few more kilometers and you will see this waterfall on your right. You just cannot miss it.

 My Waterfall collection # 11/84

17 kilometers from Seremban, Negri Sembilan State, Malaysia

Description of place

This waterfall is posted for the record. Years ago before the Highway was first upgraded, this stretch is real mountain road. Hardly any traffic and the forest of the hills here pristine. The waterfall here among the thick forest was very natural and also the water collection point for travelers. As I said all these information only remained in the mind, not even on official record. Its name is mentioned as one of Negri Sembilan's scenic spots. Which documents? Never mind! One day, the name would pops up and you will remember this odd sounding name See, it has a proper name too. Very recently this highway was once more broaden  and in contrast to earlier days is now a thoroughfare.

This so-called waterfall destination do not fit into anybody mind as a known spot. The waterfall do not look "real" nor does this place be classified as a picnic spot. The reason as to why then, had I included this place.

OK! This is a fairly nice looking "Baby Fall" that crossed the highway [one of the two Highways] running across the Main Range in the State of Negri Sembilan. Then, some years ago when the highway was expended, the traditional piece of empty land in front of the waterfall was taken up as road shoulder. At the same time, the road itself had to scrap the edge at the lower part of the waterfall where the pool normally was. There goes a favorite and beautiful place of rest for many motorists. Today, there are still passers-by who stop and bathe. To catch the old nostalgic feelings. But it is uncomfortable. The traffic just brushes past you. The continuous noises and the potential danger of a motorist missing his turn, should be at the back of ones mind, who ever spend time time there.

You could make out from the picture, the waterfall is nice looking but the volume of water is just too little. Then, at the bottom of the waterfall, the "pool" is filled with sand. There is nothing else for one to do, except to use the falling water to rinse oneself to cool down from the hot day.

What is recommended

What can I say? Make a trip there to check out this place. Bring your camera along. There is still some empty ground opposite the waterfall, but it is across the road. You could or rather, you would have to park your car there and then cross the road to the waterfall.

Unfortunately, this new parking lot had not be refurbished [nothing was worth salvaging] There are no shade. All in all, this place is simply- hot, dusty, noisy and too dangerous to be hanging around.
