Manjedal is our major Scout Campsite here in the Western part of Australia and any weekend throughout the year will see plenty of youth members camping and enjoying the many facilities it has to offer.
Manjedal is nestled in the Darling Ranges about an hours drive from Perth and those of us who visit reguarly seem to feel the spirit rise as we go up the hill toward this place.
Manjedal has two main bunkhouses , the activity centre which consists of a large bunkhouse and self contained kitchen and Gilwell the Leader Training Centre on the other side of the valley which has similar facilities .
In addition there is a vast amount of camping area available for the standing camp with showers and toilets nearby or for the fully self contained camping areas places like the Bivouac area are available .
The number of things to do seems to increase by the year . Of course there are the canoes on lake jones , the confidence or obstacle course , the low ropes course , the Aerial Runway and the soon to be opened Caving system to name a few .
