Bushwalking is a very popular activity for people of all ages and Western Australia offers numerous and varied areas to forget about everything and go walking for a weekend or even months. Probably the most famous Bushwalking track in the state is the 950km Bibbulmum Track which starts from Kalamunda in the hills of the Metropolitan area and winds it way down to Albany on the South coast. This is just one of many areas in the state where you'll find people enjoying this popular pastime. This page has been put together from our own experiences over several years of hiking and Bushwalking.When venturing into the great outdoors there is a greater level of self sufficeny needed and without The proper training or knowledge a pleasant walk can become dangerous. Before setting out there are a few areas worth considering before you leave and we have attempted to cover some of those areas in the links on the right hand side of the page. This list is by no means a totally comprehensive list as a lot of things will differ from person to person also you will soon find there is no substitute for experience. To gain this experience it is important to start on a small scale and as your experience and knowledge grow the more challenging walks will be within you grasp.
