Behavior Problems There can be behavior problems in any Troop no matter where they are located. Always remember the two deep leadership rule. This protects not only you, but also the scouts. 1. Try giving the scout with the problem a responsibilty in the Troop. This has worked for me. One of my scouts with an attitude was elected the patrol leader. There has been a change in his whole attitude. He has a more positive look at the Troop and himself in general. 2. Do not ridicule or make fun of the scout. One way to try and get a scout under control is to tell him that if his behavior does not change, he will have to bring a parent to the meeting. Be strong with this one. It seems simple but it can work. |
