Pets: Two cats, Zeppelin and Misty. And five goldfish. Von was looking after Pie and Zeppelin for me for a while, as I headed overseas again. Pie adopted another family, so there was just us and Zeppin for a while. Zeppin got lonely, so we got Misty. Elvorn broke his leg, and had to be put down on October 31, 2002. I miss him. He was a beautiful horse. May he run free forever.

Cooma via most of the east coast (see below)
I'll be living in Japan for the 2006-07 season, which is where Ian and I will be working.
Occupation: Ski instructor. Computer analyst / programmer / systems integrator / tester in the off-season.
Other physical stuff: Height about 5'11" when not slouching, eyes hazel, hair colour varies widely and is currently a sort of golden/copper/red/brown combination.
Interests: Ice skating (figure skating, precision and ice dance), ice hockey, computer graphics and animation, kart racing, first aid, Formula One Grand Prix, German, horses, skiing, sailing, surfing, windsurfing, medieval re-creation and combat (SCA), metal weapons combat (AAF), kendo, crafts, art, sewing, role-playing (especially vampires), science fiction, movies, music (playing and listening)... in short, lots of things. (A flatmate once siad that I have too many interests for one lifetime!)
Favourite colours: Black, forest green, burgundy.
Favourite meal: Roast pork with gravy and applesauce, potato dumplings, red cabbage and kale. Sauerkraut optional. Mum is very good at making this one...
Favourite time of year: Winter. I get two winters a year now! It's fine with me that my year goes autumn, winter, spring, autumn, winter, spring... :)
A (very) short summary of my life:
I was born in Canberra, and moved to the Central Coast of NSW
when I was about nine. From there, we moved to the Sunshine Coast
in QLD, where my parents still live. (I have a younger brother
who lives on the Gold Coast in QLD.) I did a Bachelor of Science
degree at the University of
Queensland, got involved in the SCA, and moved to Canberra,
where I've lived ever since. I also did a Graduate Diploma
through Charles Sturt University,
in the 'Distance Education mode' (i.e. by correspondence
