My name is Melanie Anne DeMatty. I was born September 30, 1978 in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania. I have lived in PA all my life, different cities, but same state. I now live in Greensburg, PA, which I have lived for the majority of my life.

Let me tell you a little about Greensburg. First off, there isnt much left, lol. Downtown Greensburg used to have many stores, but most of the big ones moved or went out of business. Just about all thats left are banks and the court house. Greensburg has two major malls, Westmoreland and Greengate, Westmoreland is the bigger of the two, and Greengate is slowly going out of business. Greensburg is about 35 miles SE of Pittsburgh, just to give you an idea of where I am.

I graduated from Hempfield Area School District in June of 1997. Hempfield is a very large district. My graduating class had about 530 students, and the class of Freshman coming to the high school was supposed to be up around 800 or 900 students. My favorite subjects in school where history and biology, they were the 2 classes that I did the best in. I never really liked school, but now since I have graduated I must admit that I do miss it, sometimes. I also went to Central Westmoreland Career and Technology Center (a vocational school)in 1995 and 1996. I took Auto Body the first year I was there and Automated Office Technology my second year.

I love baseball, football, and hockey. The Pirates are my favorite baseball team, but I also like the White Sox and Blue Jays. I am a die hard Steelers fan, and I'm not ashamed to admit it :). My favorite hockey teams are the Penguins and the Ottawa Senators.

I am currently living in Canada with my one and only true love Dwight Golden. We met online in TalkCity in a chat room called TalkCitySports. It took us 6 1/2 long months before we finally met, and we have been together ever since, and plan to be together forever :)
