If you have an eagle poem you'd like to have posted here submit it to cjcanuck@yahoo.com. I will post it provided, in my opinion, it's not offensive and is submitted with all sincerity.

The song playing is "An Eagle's Wings."

EAGLE POEMS
Fly Like An Eagle

As the lonely eagle flies into the winds
On majestic... soaring...gliding wings
A single scream comes from the sky
Come fly with me... come here and fly is the eagles cry
My heart yearns to be a part
As I feel the beating of its heart
Oh for my soul to be one with this bird flying so carefree
Flying so perfectly in the sky for all to see.
His wings in the wind as it caress's his soul
And soars across the streams without a goal
My being trembles with delight of such a sight
A treasure I received from God tonight
A gift like no other watching him soaring so high
Inviting me to join him and fly fly fly.

American Eagles

On September eleven of two thousand one, we thought for sure a war had begun.
Sending his disciples into the sky the Devil wanted to see all God’s children cry.
He stole a few of God’s silver doves, and blinded them with his hate for love.
Then he sent them flying high, with his disciples by their side.
When he heard the explosion in the sky he laughed so hard he cried.
He never expected man to join hand in hand, for he so wanted to cause total chaos upon this land.
Then from the heavens above came a rumbling sound.
So loud you could fell the vibrations on the ground.
From out of the sky they did fly. Hundreds of American Eagles filled our sky.
Suddenly the sun went away, causing our sky to turn to a pale gray.
Raindrops began to fall, but we realized they were not raindrops at all.
As the American Eagles flew over our heads thousands of teardrops they did shed.
We knew the god has sent his best, to stop the terrorist from causing another death.
You can run but you cannot hide when American eagles fill your sky.
The sun is back replacing the pale gray,
but we will never forget the death the Devil and terrorist caused that day!!!

Desert Treasures

As eagle swoops at break of day
Tallons cling to wriggling prey
Having hunted and found his quest
He soon returns to guard his nest
Shimmering cliffs that brightly shine
From rust colored monolith's high
Creating golden treasures
Within the sunset sky
The smell of autumn's in the air
Chill of night falls fast
The eagle soars through clouded sky
His kingdom won through triumphs past.
