Review1
Yes, we have tested out the new improved Kendo out - it surfs like a dream, and is much easier to use in a hole. It does not have all of the characteristics that go along with the newer, shorter and in general flatter hulled boats as is still relatively long in the keel. The rear deck has lost a significant amount of volume which helps for retainability, but the front end, although loosing some volume still reacts much in the same way as the older version.

Try it out for comfort before you buy, especially if you are on the larger side... the thigh braces have been modified. Some find this comfortable, others not.

As ever with Eskimo boats the build quality is excellent and very durable - a much recommended all round boat.

The manufacturer says:-
The new KENDO evolution brings higher Rodeo potential with super to WW characteristics.

The again revised hull is flatter, the contour guiding more radical. With the new KENDO evolution surfs better still, cuts faster when turning and turns faster. The thinner back part simplifies figures over the tail (blats, tail Pirouettes etc.). For the feet the new KENDO evolution offers more space for you.

Note! By repeated weight minimization the KENDO evolution reacts extremely fast, turns more easily and accelerates faster: maximum game water pass with minimum energy expenditure! For lightweight and sports Paddlers: KENDO evolution Starlight with only 12Kg! For still more performance!

Technical data: Length: 260cm broad: 59cm weight: approx. 15/12kg volume: ca.200l

Comments
Sounds a great boat, I paddled its pre-decesor which was really good at surf kayaking, but didnt match the RPM for stability. With the improvements the Kendo evolution should handle much better than its predecesor, in white water. (ie require less effort).

You can flatwater cartwheel etc. The boat is very light, very manouverable and comfortable. The seat is poor but apart from that it's great but if you are learning rodeo moves there may be a steep learning curve (But then when isnt there)!

The manufacture says

Designed by Eskimo ProTeams around the world this kayak represents the cutting edge in Rodeo design. In prototype form for two years to ensure the perfect finished product. Eskimo's COEX blowmolding produces a finished weight of just 13kg with additional strengthening to the flat bottom and end rails. Subtle hull shaping allows the full repertoire of rodeo moves whilst innovative wings on the ends stabilise throughout all 3rd dimension tricks. Jan Kellner promises two top secret innovations in the production version!

ZWO... the machine.
Total performance through perfectly thought shaping and weight minimization out

The features:
Ultra flat bottom with concave chamfers make wave maneuvers of all kinds simpler (Flat spin, Blunts, Backsurf...). Extreme volume distribution lets the ZWO react very fast, and with narrow ends to facilitate rotation around the longitudinal axis, it makes pirouettes, Splitwheels...etc easier. The Concave bow and stern help facilitate all shallow water moves (Eddyline Cartwheels, Screw Ups...etc).

ZWO: Simplifies learning for all well-known Rodeo moves and makes new ones possible! Functions on flat and game water!
