A rare exhibit of cave pearls are found in a small rimstone dam on the floor of the cave. Cave pearls are formed when a small object becomes coated with calcite and is swirled around in the pool. As the calcite deposit grows the pearl gets larger. The swirling action is what gives the pearl its uniform round shape.
